It didn't really feel bad as I am an introvert who likes, or used to like, being alone most of the time. Being socially anxious, I have few friends and did not make new friendships for many years. I am 36 years old and have not been in any kind of relationship since my long-term relationship with girlfriend ended 8 years ago.
